Porto. PJ arrests foreign citizen sought by Uzbekistan

The Judicial Police arrested in Porto a foreign citizen sought by the authorities of Uzbekistan. The individual was a fugitive from justice in his country, where he was suspected of fraud and embezzlement. The Uzbek authorities issued an international arrest warrant which allowed for his location and subsequent detention in Portuguese territory. After the legal procedures, the detainee was placed in preventive detention, awaiting the extradition process. If found guilty, he may face a prison sentence of up to eight years, in accordance with the legislation of Uzbekistan.

Ukraine: London estimates that more than half a million Russian soldiers have died
