Lagos joins European Mobility Week between September 16 and 22, offering free public transport on the municipal A ONDA network, consisting of 10 lines, to encourage the use of collective transport. The program also includes informative sessions for middle school students on the benefits of public transport, bike rides, walks, the Regional Night March on the 18th, a guided visit to urban arteries on the 19th, and on European Car-Free Day (September 22) the closure to traffic of a section of Avenida dos Descobrimentos for sports and leisure activities. The parishes of Barão de São João, Bensafrim, Luz and Odiáxere are also participating with activities such as zumba classes, functional training and horse riding tours.
