ANAREC, the association representing fuel retailers, accused the Government of "lying to the Portuguese" and advocated for a reduction in fuel taxes. The association states that the price difference between Portugal and Spain is having significant consequences.
More and more Portuguese drivers are crossing the border to Spain to refuel their vehicles, seeking lower prices. This situation has been intensifying due to the price disparity between the two countries.
