Fifty chief executives and investors sent a joint letter to European policymakers this Thursday, pressuring Brussels to create a single legislation that allows companies to operate across the entire European Union.
The signatories defend that the final version of the legislation should establish a true European business framework, instead of just adding another bureaucratic layer to the 27 existing national systems in the member states.
The initiative comes in the context of ongoing discussions about business regulation at the European level, with the aim of simplifying the cross-border operation of companies in the EU.
