The Republican National Guard starts this Monday the Safe School campaign for the 2026/2027 school year, with awareness actions directed at the school community. The initiative aims to prevent risky behaviors, promote safety in the school environment and raise awareness about issues such as bullying, cyberbullying and dating violence.
The campaign covers more than 4,400 educational establishments throughout mainland Portuguese territory, reaching approximately 670,000 students. The target audience includes students, teachers and parents/guardians.
In the previous school year, the GNR recorded 2,631 crimes in a school context, which demonstrates the relevance of this prevention campaign. The GNR's actions aim to create a safer and healthier environment in Portuguese schools.
