With the end of the secrecy of the Master case investigations, documents reveal that the investigation points to the use of a private militia linked to banker Daniel Vorcaro, called "A Turma," to intimidate people. The investigation indicates that the group acted in an organized manner to coerce and threaten individuals who were related to the banker.
Daniel Vorcaro had prior knowledge of the operation against him, the documents in the case reveal. Additionally, a contract between the wife of Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Vorcaro was identified, which provided for consulting services for agencies such as Federal Police, Central Bank, Federal Revenue and Cade.
The group allegedly threatened a former captain of one of Vorcaro's vessels after a labor dispute, with the man reporting being threatened with death by seven armed men. The documents also indicate that members of the group planned to forge a drug bust against a DJ in Miami and orchestrated a false robbery to assault journalist Lauro Jardim, from the newspaper O Globo, due to negative publications about the bank.
The investigation also reveals a strategy of hiring digital influencers, who received up to R$ 2 million to defend Master. The case involves multiple fronts of manipulation and intimidation by the group linked to the banker.
