"The Fourth Quadrant wants to renew and reinforce the bond with the people of the municipality of Almeirim and neighboring municipalities"

Jornal O Almeirinense11 September 2026 at 12:28

The Fourth Quadrant is one of the most traditional commercial spaces in the municipality of Almeirim, managed by three generations of the Marques family: the grandfather, the father, and Telmo Marques. This family business has maintained a constant presence in the region over the decades.

The company will open a new space on November 12th in Parque das Laranjeiras, more specifically at Praça Lourenço de Carvalho. This move represents a significant change in the business location.

The main reason for this move is related to the desire to transition to a space with a larger and better display area, in order to provide a more satisfying experience to customers. With this change, the Fourth Quadrant intends to renew and reinforce the bond with the inhabitants of the municipality of Almeirim and adjacent municipalities.

The business offers solutions for comfort, rest, and healthy sleep. The larger display area will be felt immediately by anyone visiting the new store, allowing customers to find a more diversified offering.

⛽Diesel goes up again this week with gasoline price easing

Fuels in Portugal will maintain a differentiated behavior next week, with diesel rising by about five cents and gasoline falling by five cents, in a market described as "extremely volatile" by sector sources. The Executive established a ten-cent increase threshold to support fuels, and since the coordinated US and Israel attack on Iran in March, diesel has accumulated an increase of 47.4 cents and gasoline of 39 cents. The Government refuses to fix prices and guarantees it does not profit from the increase due to the mechanism for returning the ISP corresponding to the VAT increase, although the progressive reduction of fuel subsidies has generated a slack of 804 million euros. Brent is down 3.42% this Friday to $104.12, but is expected to close the week with a 10% increase, the most significant since July, due to concerns about disruptions in global energy supply caused by the conflict in the Middle East.
