CELORICO DA BEIRA: IV Trail do Cerco runs along the Mondego banks this Sunday

The IV Trail do Cerco takes place this Sunday, September 13, in Celorico da Beira. The race is promoted by the local Municipality and has technical support from the Associação Vila Chã Aldeia Trail de Portugal.

The event is part of the Beira Alta Trail Circuit, designated VI(r)VER BEIRA ALTA, and corresponds to the seventh stage of this trail competition in the region.

The race route runs along the banks of the Mondego River, offering participants the opportunity to explore the natural landscape characteristic of this area of Beira Alta.

7th edition of Trail Cabeça Aldeia Natal with registrations open

The 7th edition of Trail Cabeça Aldeia Natal takes place on December 27th, in Cabeça, in the municipality of Seia, with a 15-kilometer route and registrations open on the ACorrer platform, at a cost of 15 euros (with the option of included lunch). Organized by the Compartes da Aldeia de Cabeça in partnership with the Seia City Council, the event combines mountain sports with the enhancement of the natural heritage of the Serra da Estrela and the Christmas traditions of the village. The proceeds go towards path cleaning, common land management and planting of native trees.

Inácio Esperança highlights Granfondo Serra D'Ossa as "engine of tourism and economy"

The fourth edition of Granfondo Serra D'Ossa takes place on October 4th, crossing five municipalities in Alentejo: Alandroal, Vila Viçosa, Borba, Estremoz and Redondo. The Mayor of Vila Viçosa, Inácio Esperança, highlighted the event as an "engine of tourism and economy", explaining that the previous edition brought 1,500 athletes and at least 3,500 people to the territory, filling the region's hotels and restaurants. With around 1,700 participants expected, the event offers three routes between 60.8 and 143.9 kilometres, and the municipalities involved are working to increase hotel capacity. The race aims to position Serra d'Ossa as a destination of choice for sports and nature tourism.
