Coimbra hosts a competition where sound is what rules the game

Notícias de Coimbra11 September 2026 at 11:55

The Coimbra delegation of ACAPO – Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted of Portugal will host, on September 19, the 2nd edition of a competition where sound is the central element. The event is aimed at people with visual impairments and aims to promote inclusion through sporting and recreational activities.

The competition arrives in Coimbra at a time when ACAPO continues to develop initiatives to improve the quality of life of its members. The association has been expanding its activities in the region, creating opportunities for social and sporting participation for the community of blind and partially sighted people.

This type of event demonstrates ACAPO's commitment to promoting the autonomy and integration of people with visual impairments, using sound as the main tool for participation and competition. The organization hopes the initiative will contribute to raising awareness among the general public about the abilities of people with visual impairments.
