Researchers analyzed 300 videos with popular health hashtags, such as #healthylifestyle, #nutrition and #cleaneating, between May 25 and 27, 2025, and discovered that at least 68% of the content presented lies or fraudulent information. The study identified that the errors came mainly from influencers who talked about nutrition without any academic credentials. At least 36% of the videos promoted a specific eating pattern, 67% emphasized "clean" or "healthy" eating as the central message, and approximately 75% mentioned supplements or so-called superfoods.
