Madeira achieved a record trade surplus of 157.3 million euros in 2025, representing an increase of 91 million compared to the 66.3 million recorded in 2024. This result reflects the strengthening of the region's positive goods trade balance, with exports growing at a rate more than double that of imports.
According to the final data on International Trade in Goods, released by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), Madeiran exports reached 499.9 million euros in 2025, representing growth of 35.9% compared to the previous year, equivalent to an additional 132.2 million euros.
