Promoted by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Arcos de Valdevez, with the support of the Municipality, the religious festival Romaria da Senhora da Porta returns rooted in faith and tradition. The programme is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM on the 19th, with the performance of the Drum Group next to the Misericórdia Church. The event also features the Court of Honour Parade, a Fair of Traditional Sweets from the Region, musical entertainment and a Tournament.

Our Lady of Bonança Festival with Thousands of Visitors

The Feast of Our Lady of Bonança, in Vila Praia de Âncora, in the municipality of Caminha, once again brought together thousands of faithful and visitors to celebrate its century-old maritime traditions, with records dating back to 1883. The highlight was the Naval Procession, in which dozens of fishing and recreational boats accompanied the image of Our Lady of Ínsua from the Fort of Ínsua to the beach, where the emotional encounter with the Lady of Bonança took place and a tribute to deceased fishermen. The program extends over several days and includes the traditional Ethnographic Parade "Men of the Sea," which mobilizes dozens of associations to portray the culture and customs of the Âncora Valley.
