Algarve Football Selection loses to English side Cheshire 3-2

The Algarve Senior Men's Football Selection played, this Thursday, in Henån, Sweden, their second match in the UEFA Regions Cup, facing their counterparts from Cheshire, England's representative. The Algarve side ended up losing the match by a one-goal margin, with the final score of 3-2.

The goals for the Algarve side were scored by Bruno Ferreira, during the first half, and by Afonso Reis, in the second half of the match. On the English side, the Cheshire team managed to score three times throughout the game.

This was the second match for the Algarve in this European competition, which brings together regional football selections from the various countries affiliated with UEFA. The tournament is taking place in Sweden.

The next fixture for the Algarve Selection is scheduled for 13 September, when they will face Järvenpää United, the team representing Finland, following the group stage of the competition.
