A fire broke out in the early hours of the morning in an abandoned warehouse in the area of Caminho do Poço Barral, in Funchal. The fire originated in pallets stored inside the former Aki Madeira building, a space that has been closed for some time.
The alert was received by the Funchal Career Firefighters at 00:30, with 4 operational resources and 13 members immediately mobilized to the location.
The incident occurred in a semi-industrial area, characterized by the presence of large warehouses, which required a quick response from the rescue services.
The situation was quickly controlled and normalcy was restored at the location, with no reported injuries.
