The autonomous city of Ceuta registered new fires this early morning after the unrest of recent days. One of the fires affected several warehouses of El Tarajal, where migrant camps are located. The fire destroyed approximately 40 stores in the migrant camp in the area.
The El Tarajal camp is a place where migrants live in the border area between Ceuta and Morocco. Migrants who inhabit this area usually light bonfires to keep warm during the night.
Another smaller fire of a forest nature burned an area of scrubland. The authorities believe this second fire may be related to the bonfires that migrants light in the area.
The fires occur after days of riots in the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta, a territory located on the north coast of Africa.
