The Republican National Guard (GNR) begins this Friday, September 11, the "Safe School" campaign for the 2026/2027 school year. The initiative includes awareness actions aimed at students, teachers and parents/guardians, with the aim of reinforcing self-protection behaviors in the school environment.
The campaign will cover more than 4,400 educational establishments across mainland Portuguese territory, reaching approximately 670 thousand students across the country. The program aims to promote inclusion and prevent risky situations and deviant behaviors in the school environment and its surroundings.
This campaign is part of the GNR's community outreach actions with the school community, reinforcing the guard's presence and role in crime prevention and youth safety.
