Supreme Federal Court ministers warned Court President Edson Fachin during individual consultations held on Thursday about the possibility of a view request interrupting the trial scheduled for next Tuesday, the 15th. The trial involves the suspicions raised against Alexandre de Moraes in the Federal Police report containing messages attributed to banker Daniel Vorcaro.
Throughout the day, Fachin received various ministers in his office: Moraes, André Mendonça, Dias Toffoli, Luiz Fux, Kassio Nunes Marques, and Cristiano Zanin. The STF president also spoke with Cármen Lúcia and received the attorney general of Brazil, Paulo Gonet, before the extraordinary session.
A faction of the court aligned with Moraes argued that the questions involving Mendonça should be analyzed by the plenary together with Moraes' case. The assessment of this group is that the two episodes are part of the same crisis and that a joint response would be more appropriate to deal with the situation.
