The Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel, reacted this Thursday to the accusations about the timing of the announcement made by Luís Montenegro regarding pensions and income tax. Rangel defended that the measures announced by the Government should not be considered opportunistic.
The official stated that the Executive is very attentive and that it took a measure it considered absolutely necessary and possible, which consisted of lowering income tax once again and granting an annual supplement to pensioners with the lowest pensions.
