The Medical Association has put forward a set of proposals to counter the ad hoc measures adopted in the placement of doctors in underserved areas. The professional organization thus intends to establish more structured and consistent rules for the placement of health professionals.

One of the main measures proposed in the document calls for the creation of protocols between the Ministry of Health and municipalities. These protocols aim to establish adequate conditions for the installation of doctors and their families in the most underserved areas of the country.

The document advocates for the need to guarantee minimum material conditions so that doctors can settle permanently in these regions. This approach contrasts with the ad hoc measures that have been adopted until now, which the Association considers insufficient to solve the problem of doctor shortages in the interior and in disadvantaged areas.
