Praia de Carcavelos will host on September 19 the first edition of Cascais Fest Pela Paz (Cascais Fest for Peace), a festival promoted by the Municipality of Cascais that aims to bring together music, community and culture at an event dedicated to promoting Peace. The event comes in a symbolic year for the municipality, which holds the title of European Capital of Democracy.
Entry is free but subject to mandatory ticket and limited capacity. Tickets can be purchased online through MEO Blueticket or in person at various points of sale, including Lojas Cascais, FNAC, Worten, El Corte Inglés, Lojas MEO, WOOK, ACP and Time Out, among others.
The festival lineup includes artists HMB, Gospel Collective and DJ Disi, joined by Father Guilherme as one of the big surprises of the evening. The priest, known for his activity as a DJ, achieved international exposure after performing at World Youth Day in Lisbon, and his presence is pointed out as one of the most anticipated moments of the event.
Holders of the Cartão Viver Cascais (Viver Cascais Card) will have access to an exclusive area near the stage. The President of the Municipal Council, Nuno Piteira Lopes, highlighted that the festival aims to create an accessible celebration moment for everyone, promoting values such as inclusion, respect and fellowship, and to strengthen a more participatory community with a higher quality of life.
