The candidate for governor of Rio de Janeiro by Republicanos, Anthony Garotinho, was interviewed on Thursday by O GLOBO, Extra, Valor and CBN. The interview was conducted by CBN Rio presenters Bianca Santos and Leandro Resende, by the political editor of O GLOBO and Extra newspapers Thiago Prado, by columnist Bernardo Mello Franco, and by Francisco Góes, head of the Valor bureau in Rio. The interview started at 10:30 am and lasted 1h30.
In the interview, Garotinho minimized his rejection and his previous arrests, and blamed Michelle for the non-disclosure of a video known as "the night of the Astronauts." The candidate also avoided commenting on support for Lula or his son Flavio Bolsonaro, leaving his vote for President open.
The interview is part of a series of interviews with candidates for governor of Rio. The programming opened on Tuesday with state deputy Douglas Ruas (PL), followed by William Siri (PSOL) on Wednesday. Eduardo Paes (PSD) closes the series on Friday (11), with each interview lasting one and a half hours.
