The city of Vila-real hosted last Thursday the "gran nit de les penyes" (great night of the penyes), an event that brought together approximately 2,800 people around the traditional bull tombet, a dish deeply rooted in the cuisine of Castellón. The event took place in the parking area next to Carrefour and in front of the Palau de Justícia.
A total of 95 collectives, out of the 105 that are part of the Penyes Commission, participated in this popular dinner, demonstrating the strong adherence of the local community to this gastronomic tradition.
The bull tombet dinner reaffirmed itself as one of the great references of Vila-real's Mare de Déu de Gràcia festivals, attracting thousands of participants to share tables and fellowship around this traditional delicacy.
