In the soap opera "A nobreza do amor", Virgínia (Theresa Fonseca) begins to suspect she is pregnant after experiencing successive episodes of dizziness and feeling unwell. She does the math, recalls recent events, and falls into despair at the possibility of being expecting a child with Mirinho.
Marta (Emanuelle Araújo), Virgínia's mother, accompanies her daughter to doctor Onildo's (Paulo Lessa) office. After examining her, the doctor confirms the pregnancy and informs her that she is between six and seven weeks along. The news leaves Virgínia deeply shaken, especially when she realizes the timing coincides with recent events in her life.
Trying to protect her daughter, Marta asks Onildo to keep the information in absolute secrecy. The doctor assures the confidentiality of the case, but the discovery begins to torment Virgínia, who fears the consequences that the news could bring to her plans and to the people around her.
Sebastião, on the other hand, grows suspicious of the situation upon noticing changes in Virgínia's behavior. The pregnancy revelation threatens to complicate the character's plans and puts at risk the secrets she is trying to keep.
