Barlavento10 September 2026 at 17:44

Faro Municipal Council will take over commercial quay management starting September 18. This change in management represents an important milestone for the city's port administration.

The municipality is developing the "Hub Mar" project, which includes the creation of a natural marina with capacity for 500 vessels. This nautical infrastructure aims to position Faro as an important center for maritime activity in the region.

In addition to the marina, the project includes the construction of other infrastructure related to nautical activities and research. The goal is to create a multifunctional hub that combines commercial, sports, and scientific activities related to the sea.

The information about this project was originally published by the Barlavento newspaper, which reported on the plans of the Faro council for the development of the city's port and maritime zone.
