Dan Stulbach, actor and commentator at CBN, revealed the behind-the-scenes of a memorable scene from 'Quem Ama Cuida' during Wednesday's (9) 'Hora de Expediente' program. In the sequence, his character Ademir catches his nephew André, played by Henrique Barreira, alongside Dora, portrayed by Mariana Ximenes, with whom he became involved after the couple's separation.
The most talked-about scene shows Dora threatening Ademir with a racket. The moment makes a direct reference to 'Mulheres Apaixonadas' (2003), a soap opera in which Dan Stulbach played Marcos, a character who used a racket to assault his wife Raquel, played by Helena Ranaldi.
According to the actor, the way the scene was filmed differed from the rehearsal. Dan revealed that he improvised with Mariana Ximenes in the moment, asking her to raise the racket and freeze so he could deliver his line. The actor explained that he delivered the line when he ran his finger across her face, while she stayed frozen in position.
The sequence required rehearsals and two days of filming to be completed, demonstrating the complexity of producing the moment that became one of the most talked-about in the soap opera.
