A resort in the Algarve, the Ukino Palmeiras Village, in Porches, near Nossa Senhora da Rocha beach, offers an all-inclusive service available 24 hours for 112 euros for one night's stay for two adults, simulated for November. The amount includes a Standard Double room with a non-refundable rate and applied discounts of 24% and 15% for members, conditions that are not valid for any booking.

The resort has six restaurants, two pool bars and an atrium bar, including a 24/7 Snack Bar space. Among the dining options are international cuisine, Asian cuisine, meat dishes and Algarve flavours. However, the round-the-clock service does not mean that all restaurants operate continuously.

À la carte dinners are available only by prior booking and require a minimum of seven nights' stay, a condition that does not apply to the one-night stay presented in the simulation. The Premium All-Inclusive package, with an additional 27 euros, includes two à la carte dinners per seven nights.

The Standard Double accommodates up to three people and has air conditioning, cable television, free internet and a hair dryer. The hotel does not allow pets and provides cots upon prior request, while the safe has an additional cost. The amount of 112 euros refers specifically to the night of November 12 to 13, with conditions to be confirmed at the time of booking.

The European Central Bank signaled that it will continue to raise interest rates in the face of persistently high inflation forecasts. Despite concerns about the impact of higher rates on the economy, the institution considered that the "resilience" demonstrated by economic activity in the eurozone offers some assurance that a recession will not be necessary to curb inflation.

Conexa offers a thousand free therapy sessions in September

The initiative aims to expand access to psychological care for people who are not yet Conexa or Zenklub clients, available for scheduling until September 30 or while coupons last. The action reinforces the importance of recognizing signs that something is not okay and seeking help as an act of self-care.

Local commerce: Complaints are common along the main arteries of the city

Traders from various streets in Vila Nova de Famalicão — Rua Vasconcelos e Castro, Rua Alves Roçadas and Rua de Santo António — share similar complaints about the loss of customers and declining sales. Lack of parking is the main grievance, exacerbated by urban requalification works that reduced available spaces and created poorly designed loading and unloading zones. Traders also criticise the relocation of events and festivities to other areas of the city, the loss of identity in public spaces — with excessive concrete and lack of shade — and safety issues such as damaged pavements and scooters circulating without enforcement. Some acknowledge, however, that the sector could adapt better through more flexible opening hours to compete with large retail chains.
