Pontilhão da Valeta, located in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, won 6th place in the national contest "River Beach of the Year", promoted by the River Beaches Guide. This distinction places the Arcuense space among the ten best out of a universe of 216 bathing areas that were voted on throughout the country.
The result reinforces the status of the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez as a destination of excellence in Portugal. The quality of the river beach's infrastructure, the freshness of the Vez river waters, and the beauty of the surrounding natural landscape were some of the highlighted aspects that contributed to this prominent position in the national ranking.
