A three-year-old boy was allegedly sexually abused by his uncle, a 12-year-old teenager, in Felgueiras. The case was reported by a hospital unit after the child was taken there on Wednesday night by family members.
The soldiers of the Republican National Guard took note of the incident and were responsible for the initial assistance. After gathering the initial information, the agents alerted the Judicial Police, who will take over the investigation of the case.
The child was later transported to Padre Américo Hospital in Penafiel to receive medical care and for the necessary forensic procedures to be carried out. The case remains under investigation by the competent authorities.
