The Court of Labor of Picos decided that a supermarket will have to reduce the working hours of mothers of children with disabilities without making salary deductions. The decision establishes that workers will be entitled to a reduction of up to six daily hours.
The measure will apply to female employees who prove the need to accompany their children with disabilities. The benefit is valid without reduction in remuneration, meaning the mothers will continue receiving their full salary even with reduced working hours.
The decision was made within the scope of the Labor Court and establishes the conditions for employees to meet the care demands for their children with disabilities. The supermarket must comply with the judicial determination.
