UJI secures 1.2 million to research new materials and catalysts

The University Institute of Advanced Materials at Universitat Jaume I has obtained two Prometeo projects from the Valencian Government to advance the development of new materials and catalysts. The total funding is approximately 1.2 million euros, which will be distributed over four years.

The two research teams are led, respectively, by Iván Mora Seró and Beatriu Escuder, and by Vicent Moliner and Macarena Poyatos. Each team will receive a significant portion of the funding to conduct their research projects.

The materials and catalysts developed in these investigations will have applications in three main areas: energy, sustainable chemistry and biomedicine. The goal is to contribute to technological advances in these strategic areas.

The Prometeo projects are funded by the Valencian Government and aim to support excellence in research at the universities of the Valencian Community, promoting scientific development and innovation in the region.
