The Disciplinary Board of the Football Association of Viana do Castelo applied this week the first punishment map of the 2026/27 season, after the matches played on September 6. The heaviest punishment went to Hugo Miguel Costa Caldas, player from ADC Anha, suspended for five games, due to incidents in the match against CC "Os Torreenses". This match was the one that gathered the most sanctions of the round.
In the same match, Fernando Augusto Sá Rego, also from ADC Anha, was suspended for 30 days and fined 100 euros, while coach Marcelo Emanuel Almeida Barreto got 15 days suspension and 15 euros fine. From the Torreenses side, Martim Fernandes was suspended for one game and Pedro Vieitas for two games.
In the SABSEG championship, the match between AD Chafé and SC Valenciano also generated heavy punishments. Director Pedro Manuel Fernandes Cunha, from Valenciano, was suspended for 30 days and fined 80 euros, and assistant coach from Chafé, João Pedro Passos Lima Araújo, got 15 days suspension. Tomás José Gomes Costa, from UD Moreira, received three games suspension, and Rúben André Freire Carvalho, from SC Valenciano, two games.
Regarding club fines, the highest fine fell on SC Melgacense, in the amount of 51 euros, while UD Moreira accumulated 101 euros in fines, including a penalty for recidivism.
