Benfica received around 799,328 euros that Porto was ordered to pay in the so-called Emails Case. The amount has been fully settled and is documented in the Benfica SAD Report and Accounts for the 2025/26 financial year.

The conviction was confirmed by the Supreme Court of Justice in February 2025, which upheld the decision previously determined by the Court of Appeal. The sentence ordered the payment of 605,300 euros, to which default interest was added.

Those convicted were Futebol Clube do Porto, FC Porto – Futebol SAD, FCP Media, Avenida dos Aliados and Francisco José Marques. The document states that the amount, including the default interest owed, has been fully regularized.

The Emails Case involved the disclosure of several emails belonging to figures linked to Benfica by Francisco José Marques, a former communication advisor for Porto. The total amount received by Benfica thus amounted to almost 800 thousand euros.
