Producers with open doors to showcase Dão excellence

Producers from eight estates and farms in the Dão region will open their doors to the public this Friday and Saturday in an event that aims to promote the products and traditional flavors of the area. The initiative was organized by the Viseu Dão Lafões Intermunicipal Community.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy unique experiences, where wine and local gastronomy will be served directly at the tables of the participating producers. This is an opportunity for consumers to get to know firsthand the work of farmers and producers in the region.

The "Open Doors" event emerges as a way to enhance regional products and promote the Dão territory, highlighting the quality and tradition of local productions. The initiative allows participants to immerse themselves in the wine and gastronomic culture of the region in an immersive and authentic way.

Located in the Glacial Valley of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, Loriga stood out for its scenic beauty, crystalline spring waters, and strong tourist appeal, reflecting the ongoing investment by the municipality of Seia and the Loriga Parish Council in the preservation and promotion of this bathing area.

"Casa Alegria" "ready" to receive 19 residents in Canelas

Casa Alegria, a collaborative and community housing project in Canelas, is ready to welcome 19 residents. The project, created by the Associação de Assistência de Nossa Senhora das Candeias (AANSC) in the former building of a kindergarten that closed about 10 years ago, represents a pioneering social response in the municipality. Parents from Areosa say they are "abandoned" with the closure of the parish center's ATL

Parents of students at Escola Básica de Meio, in Areosa, in the district of Viana do Castelo, protest against the permanent closure of the Leisure Time Activities Center (CATL) of the Parochial Social Center of Areosa, which closed on August 14. The direction of the social center refused the help made available by the Municipal Council to resolve the problems identified as obstacles to the continuity of the service. Parents warn that, without this social response, families will have to resort to private study centers with "unaffordable" costs and guarantee they feel "abandoned" with the approaching new school year.
