Iran: Brent Oil above 105 dollars a barrel, the highest value since May

SAPO Notícias10 September 2026 at 15:40

Brent oil exceeded 105 dollars per barrel today, reaching the highest value since May. This significant increase in the crude price occurs in a context of growing tension in global energy markets.

The main cause of this rise is related to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, a strategic region for global oil production and transportation. The instability in the region has been worrying international markets.

The conflict is spreading with Houthi attacks from Yemen, which have carried out military operations that contribute to the increase in geopolitical uncertainty in the area. This expansion of the conflict to new fronts aggravates fears of disruptions in oil supply.

Old iPhone models see price hikes of up to R$ 2 thousand. Understand the reason

Old iPhone models had price adjustments of up to 14.8% at the Apple Store, with increases of up to R$ 2,000, even after the launch of a new generation. The 1 TB iPhone Air went from R$ 13,499 to R$ 15,499, while other versions of the model increased by R$ 500. The reason is the shortage of memory and storage chips caused by high demand from artificial intelligence data centers, which raised global price indices for smartphones, tablets, and notebooks. This year, Apple did not launch a new Air generation, postponing the update to early 2027.
