Azorean students obtained positive results in the PISA 2025 assessment, the Programme for International Student Assessment. Sofia Ribeiro, regional secretary of Education and Educational Administration of the Azores, acknowledges that these results are satisfactory for the region.
However, the official emphasizes that it is still premature to attribute this improvement to any specific educational measure or reform implemented in the region. According to Sofia Ribeiro, the results should be analyzed with prudence and it is not advisable to draw premature conclusions about the causes of this progress.
This position aims to temper expectations and avoid making direct associations between the implemented educational policies and the results achieved, without sufficient data to establish this correlation in a grounded manner.
