Ponte de Lima was once again filled with people as Feiras Novas began. Thousands of people attended a night marked by the traditional concertina procession and the official lighting ceremony. This year's edition is special, as Feiras Novas celebrates 200 years of history.

The festival is recognized as National Intangible Cultural Heritage and is described as "the largest live congress of popular culture in Portugal". Over two centuries, the tradition continues to bring generations together and transform Ponte de Lima into one of the great stages of Portuguese popular culture.

Year after year, the event continues to attract thousands of visitors, in a celebration that crosses tradition, music and fellowship.
