Covilhã hosts the 19th edition of the Parsnip Festival, an event dedicated to the traditional agricultural product of the region. The festival brings together diverse activities ranging from gastronomy to street entertainment, including musical concerts.
The event also includes a regional products and crafts exhibition, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about and purchase local items. Street entertainment promises to animate the event during the days of the festival.
One of the main objectives of the festival is to demonstrate the various ways parsnips can be consumed, thus promoting this product to the public. The initiative aims to enhance and showcase this edible root typical of Beira Interior.
