The Fluvial Vilacondense Club won two national titles at the National Beach Sprint Championship, held in Cascais. The team from Vila do Conde accumulated a total of six medals in the competition, with two golds, two silvers and two bronzes, demonstrating the club's competitive strength in the sport.
Rita Araújo was the standout performer of the competition, winning two events. The athlete claimed the title in the Women's Under-19 C1x in individual boat and, in partnership with Gonçalo Silva, also triumphed in the Mixed Under-19 C2x, securing two golds for Fluvial Vilacondense.
In addition to Rita Araújo's titles, the club achieved two runner-up finishes through Alexandra Müller in the Women's Veteran C1x and the duo Carlos Barreto and Álvaro Barreto in the Men's Veteran C2x.
In the third-place finishes, António Silva took bronze in the Men's Under-17 C1x, even recording the best absolute time among all athletes in the category, while Marcelo Lima and Carolina Saraiva completed the podium in the Mixed Under-19 C2x.
With outstanding results across various age categories and consistent competitive presence, Fluvial Vilacondense reinforces the importance of rowing as a central sport for the club from Vila do Conde.
