The parish of Muge received on September 11 the first edition of Artes Festum – Culture Alive in the Parishes. The initiative was promoted by the Municipal Council of Salvaterra de Magos and aimed to bring different artistic manifestations to the parishes of the municipality. The event took place over three days, with the cultural program starting at 9:00 PM each day.
The opening concert featured the performance of pianist Gerardo Rodrigues, who performed at the Auditorium of the People's House of Muge. The artist's music marked the start of this first edition of the festival, beginning a program that aimed to cover diverse cultural expressions over the three days of the event.
Artes Festum emerged as a cultural decentralization project, bringing artistic activities to various parishes of the municipality of Salvaterra de Magos. This approach allowed culture to reach local communities that normally do not have such direct access to larger-scale cultural events.
