Céline Dion, the return of an tireless diva

Canadian singer Céline Dion, 58, returns to the stage after an absence of more than six years. The return marks the beginning of the first week of concerts, 16 in total, that the artist will perform at the Plenitude Arena, a huge concert venue on the outskirts of Paris. The first leg shows are scheduled for September 12, 16, 18, 19, 23, 25, 26, and 30, as well as October 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, and 17. Due to high demand, ten additional dates were added for May 8, 12, 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, and 29, 2027.

The diva has been away from the spotlight since she had to stop her last tour, which began in 2019, first due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then due to health issues. Since 2022, Céline Dion has been battling stiff person syndrome, an incurable neurological condition that causes muscle stiffness and spasms. This illness was the main reason for her long break from her music career.

The return represents a new chapter in the artist's extraordinary life, described as a mix of fairy tales, pain, and the unwavering love of her fans. Saturday's performance marks the beginning of a new phase for the singer, who is facing a rare and incurable disease, but demonstrates determination to return to performing live for her audience.
