National Police agents arrested in Valencia three people, two men and one woman, for the abduction of a newborn minor. Those arrested are the baby's parents and grandfather, who fled from the hospital where the mother had given birth, counting on the grandfather's help to do so.
The family acted knowing that the newborn would be placed under the care of the Regional Ministry of Social Services of the Generalitat. The parents also face an additional charge of fraud, while the mother is charged with identity theft.
Additionally, the father had a pending court order to enter prison for other facts. Authorities continue to investigate the case to clarify all the details of the abduction.
