Mental health at work is no longer a topic restricted to the human resources sectors and has become integrated into organizations' management and risk prevention strategies, according to the new wording of chapter 1.5 of Regulatory Standard No. 1 (NR-1), which expressly includes psychosocial risk factors related to work in the Occupational Risk Management. This change expands companies' responsibility regarding aspects such as work organization, professional relationships and conditions that may affect workers' mental health.
For the Association for Management, Innovation and Health Outcomes (Agir), complying with legislation means going beyond individual psychological care by incorporating care into management itself. Through its Mental Health Center, the institution develops actions for listening, prevention, welcoming, education and training of the institution's collaborators.
In order to strengthen the strategy of caring for those who care, Agir held an action this month to reinforce this approach.
