The Territorial Command of Portalegre of the GNR arrested seven people in flagrant delicto between August 31st and September 6th, within the scope of the operational activity developed in the district. The arrests were carried out during inspection and surveillance operations conducted by the Republican National Guard in that region.
Three of the seven arrests were related to driving under the influence of alcohol, constituting one of the main causes of police intervention during that period. The remaining arrests were due to driving without a legal license and violation of impositions, prohibitions or interdictions determined by law.
The GNR also revealed having recorded 28 traffic accidents in the district during the same week. This data is part of the usual operational report that the Territorial Command of Portalegre periodically carries out to assess road safety and compliance with the law in the region.
