Hotel Cascais Miragem is moving forward with a collective dismissal process, having already notified 177 workers about the measure. The Southern Hospitality Union revealed that the hotel's administration made this decision as part of a renovation plan for the hotel unit.
According to the union, an investment of 80 million euros is planned for the hotel's renovation. This amount represents a significant value that will be destined for the improvement and modernization of the facilities.
The union criticized the decision, arguing that the collective dismissal essentially serves as a way for the administration to reduce costs. This position comes at a time when the hotel plans to invest a large sum in its renovation.
The process is underway, with the 177 workers already officially notified about the company's intention to proceed with the dismissals. The Southern Hospitality Union is following the situation in defense of the interests of the affected workers.
