The Terra Incógnita project is taking place this year in October and November, covering three islands of the Azores. The initiative brings together contemporary musicians and philharmonic bands in artistic residences that culminate with presentations during nature trails.
Over three distinct moments, invited artists develop artistic residences in collaboration with local philharmonic bands, in a joint creative process. This collaboration enables the meeting of different musical traditions and artistic approaches.
The organization revealed today the details of this edition of the project, which aims to promote the exchange between contemporary artists and local communities through the Azorean philharmonic bands. The outdoor presentation format, during nature trails, distinguishes this project from other cultural initiatives in the region.
