September 2026 brings diverse programming to Portuguese movie theaters, marked by major international productions, family animation, biographical dramas and independent cinema. The releases are spread across several weeks, with titles from established directors and new releases highly anticipated by audiences.

Among the releases of the week of September 10, 2026 are five films. The French drama "Filho de Ninguém", directed by Safy Nebbou and starring Romain Duris, follows a man who travels to Thailand with his adopted son. The South Korean thriller "Hope", directed by Na Hong-jin and starring Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender, takes place in a port city near the Demilitarized Zone, where a mysterious discovery involves the inhabitants in a fight for survival against something terrifying.

The dramatic comedy "Magic and Seduction - Family Secrets", sequel to the 1998 classic, is directed by Susanne Bier and features Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman returning as producers and leads as the Owens sisters. The Portuguese production "Santo António - The Matchmaker of Lisbon", directed by Ruben Alves, is a comedy that celebrates the Portuguese capital and its traditions, starring Rita Blanco, Joaquim Monchique and Ana Bola.

The documentary "Oasis - Don't Look Back in Anger", directed by Steven Knight, follows the Oasis reunion tour in 2025, including access to rehearsals, behind-the-scenes footage and joint interviews with Liam and Noel Gallagher for the first time in over 20 years.
