The black dress worn by Princess Diana on the day Prince Charles admitted his infidelity in a televised interview in Britain will be auctioned in December. The piece is known as the "revenge dress."

The dress has belonged to a Scottish couple since 1997. Prince Charles's interview, in which he admitted to being unfaithful to the princess, was broadcast on British television and marked a crucial moment in the marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Sotheby's, the auction house responsible for the sale, revealed that the dress will be auctioned next December. The late Princess Diana's garment is expected to attract great interest from collectors of royal memorabilia.
