The Judicial Police detained on Wednesday a man suspected of having set several wildfires in Águeda throughout this year. The last occurrence happened at the beginning of Monday evening, in the locality of Serém de Cima.
The suspect was placed under tri-weekly appearances to the authorities, a coercive measure applied within the scope of the proceedings. The investigation was conducted by the PJ, which identified the individual as responsible for the fires in the region.
The case specifically refers to wildfires that occurred in the municipality of Águeda, in the district of Aveiro, during the current year.
