Influencer Alê Gaúcha, 21 years old, tried to get the attention of the "BBB 27" production by installing a billboard on Avenida Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro, as a strategy to highlight her application for the reality show. The action gained attention on social media and caught the attention of the press.
What she did not expect was the volume of contacts she would receive after the panel was installed. According to Alê, more than 500 calls and messages were made by people who pretended to be members of the show's team, feigning interest in her participation in the reality show.
The contacts began on the second day after the billboard was installed. In the initial approaches, the influencer even believed she had finally gained the attention of the production, as several people said they had seen the billboard and claimed to be from the show's selection team.
Over time, Alê realized these were prank calls and people taking advantage of the situation to contact her. The experience shows the risks of attention-grabbing strategies to try to get into television programs, especially in a reality show as competitive as Big Brother Brasil.
