House rents rise 5.2% in August

SAPO10 September 2026 at 11:48

House rents per square meter increased by 5.2% in August compared to the same month in 2025, according to data from the National Statistics Institute. This growth represents a decrease of 0.1 percentage points compared to the month of July.

All regions of the country recorded year-on-year growth in rents. The INE, which released these data today, did not specify which regions had the highest or lowest increases.

The real estate sector thus continues to show pressure on rental prices, although the growth rate has slowed slightly in the monthly comparison.
